David H. Pettitt
Liberty Street resident David H. Pettitt, 70, died the afternoon of March 9, 2004, in Jameson Hospital. Born Dec. 10, 1933, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Harry and Stella Gilbert Pettitt. He was an auto parts sales clerk, working at AutoZone and New Castle Auto Parts. Mr. Pettitt was a 1951 graduate of Shenango High School. He was a member of Shenango Christian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Palladino and Deanna Baker, both of New Castle; a son, Cory Pettitt of New Castle; a brother, Donald G. Pettitt of New Castle; a sister, Lois Maturo of New Castle; three grandchildren, Jamil Palladino and Erica Soles, both of New Castle, and Larry Soles Jr. of Japan; and a great-grandchild, Tyler Donofrio of New Castle. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara McConahy in 2003. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 N. Jefferson St. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dennis L. Bupp, Jameson Health System chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery. |
